SAFEGUARDING
At Ladybird Montessori, safeguarding is of utmost importance to us. We prioritise the safety and well-being of every child in our care. Our dedicated staff undergo comprehensive training on safeguarding procedures and practices, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to create a secure environment. We have rigorous checking procedures in place for all our staff, including thorough background checks and verification of qualifications and references. This ensures that only qualified and trustworthy individuals are employed at our nursery. We continuously review and improve our policies and practices to ensure the well-being and security of all children in our care.
To provide an additional layer of security, we have implemented CCTV surveillance throughout our premises. This helps us maintain a constant vigilance and allows us to closely monitor all activities within our nursery. The purpose of the CCTV system is for the security of the premises, the prevention, detection and investigation of criminal activity, trespass and vandalism and the safety of children, staff and visitors to the site. Static and remotely operated cameras enable this purpose.
- We aim to inform all visitors, parents, staff and children are aware that CCTV is in use
- To keep images from CCTV secure and controlled by authorised personnel
- To maintain all CCTV equipment is in working order
- To comply with the Freedom of Information Act 2000
The images that are recorded will be held in a secure location on the systems server and can only be accessed by those authorised to do so (Nadia Alishah and Hamza Khan)
