The Montessori Method
The Montessori method of education was developed by Dr Maria Montessori in
the early twentieth century. Some of the ideas have now been adopted into the
main stream schools (e.g. the use of child size furniture) but others are still
ahead of current education practice.
A BESPOKE SETTING
We were lucky enough to totally custom build our nursery setting. This allowed us to use the Montessori ethos to ensure our spaces are open plan with indoor and outdoor stimulating features and sensory play areas. Our garden has water features, sandpits, wildlife areas and vegetable patches. With secure access systems throughout the nursery and CCTV, we take safeguarding our children very seriously. We understand the importance of the space that our children learn in, we will continually reinvest and improve our setting, curriculum and processes.
CELEBRATING DIVERSITY
We are thrilled to celebrate diversity in our nursery! We believe that every child is unique and deserves to feel valued and included. We recognise the importance of cultural diversity and strive to create an environment where all children feel welcomed, respected and appreciated for who they are.
Our team of educators comes from various cultural backgrounds, and we believe this diversity is an asset that enriches our children's learning experience. Our curriculum is designed to reflect our multicultural community, and we celebrate different festivals and holidays throughout the year.
